Corolla

Corolla is one of the famous and largest selling models from Toyota. The Corolla is a compact sedan which debuted in 1966. The car has has sold 30 million units till date. It was deemed as the largest selling car in 1997 and continues to be one of the largest selling cars in the world.

The First gen Corolla, the E10 series, was launched in Japan in 1966. It was a sub-compact sedan which came with 1.1L and 1.2L variants with rear wheel drive. The transmission was by a 4-speed floor shift type manual transmission. It also came with 2-speed floor as well as column shift automatic transmission. Corolla was sold in Japan, US, Europe, Australia as well as Asian markets and it did well almost everywhere due to its affordable price and easy maintenance.
