<< IndexIpsum

Ipsum is yet another large MPV from Toyota. The car is sold as Avensis Verso from 2001 as well as Toyota Picnic in some countries. The car is a 5 door 7 seater, similar to the Isis and other 5 door MPV's from Toyota.
The Ipsum gets its power from a 2.0L or 2.4L inline 4 twin cam 16 valve gasoline engine or 2.0L turbodiesel engine. The transmission is 4 speed automatic. The dimensions of the MPV are 4650mm by 1760mm by 1675mm.
The first generation of the Ipsum was launched in 1997 and stayed in production till 2001. The second generation of the vehicle was unveiled in 2001 and is still in production. The new car was given cosmetic facelift and there were some modifications in the engine. The car was also sold as a variant of Toyota Avensis and was called Toyota Avensis Verso. The Verso was sold in American markets whereas in the Japanese markets, the Ipsum name was retained. Although the Avensis is a large saloon, the Avensis Verso is an MPV and has a different platform than that of the Avensis sedan. In the other markets, the MPV is sold as Toyota Picnic.
When shopping for a new or used car it is important to do your research. Used cars may or may not carry baggage. You ought to study the CarFax reports. You ought to see the mileage the vehicle has and how many miles it is expected to have during its lifetime. It also important to analyze the expected car maintenance for a specific car. If the vehicle owner took great care of the car, has had all the oil changes, you will save on car repairs on a yearly basis. That savings can go towards the purchase of a better vehicle.
This is why we tend to recommend Toyotas. They last a long time, are cheaper to maintain, and are very reliable.
