The Toyota Vista is a 4 door hardtop from Toyota, similar to the famous Toyota Camry. In fact the Vista is another name given to the Japanese Camry with minor modifications. It is basically a hardtop version of the Camry sedan. The car was first launched in 1982. After 1998, the Vista was redesigned independent of the Camry, thus making it distinct from the Camry. The 1998 Vista was not only available as a hardtop but also a sedan and a station wagon going with the name Ardeo. The car is FWD with a double-wishbone suspension and a McPherson Struts torsion beam axle for the rear. The Toyota Vista Ardeo was available with 4WD option too. Engine choices with the new Vista were 1.8 L and 2.0 L gasoline with automatic transmission. The engine types were 3S-FE, 3S-FSE or 1ZZ-FE for the 1.8L variants. The car production was halted in mid 2003 to make way for the new Toyota Netz.
